Protecting Your Bitcoin

With Bitcoin you are your own bank and you are responsible for your own Operational Security (OpSec).

When I was a child my parents and grandparents taught me the responsibility of locking and unlocking the front and back doors to the house. They also taught me how to lock and unlock the doors on their cars. When I got my first car I was responsible for locking and unlocking the doors to my car.

When I rented my first apartment I was responsible for locking and unlocking the door, the mailbox, and the wash room.

When I was promoted to manager at a newspaper I was responsible for locking and unlocking the office doors, as well as enabling and disabling the office alarm.

When I got my first bank debit card I was responsible for creating a PIN.

When I set up my first Hotmail email account I was responsible for creating a password.

I’ve been training my whole life to take on the personal responsibility for my Bitcoin OpSec 😎
